Mr. Rugemalira is an experienced board member, ICT governance leader and digital transformation strategist with over 20 years of cross-sector leadership experience spanning technology, international development, agribusiness and organizational management. He is recognized for his strong expertise in corporate governance, strategic planning and operational transformation.
Mr. Rugemalira has served on several boards, including Tanzania Cashew Growers Plc, Engineers Without Borders Tanzania Chapter and Nepperhan Community Center Tanzania, where he has contributed to governance oversight, institutional development and strategic decision-making.
Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a strong ability to align technology and business strategy to improve organizational efficiency, resilience and long-term growth. His expertise includes ICT governance, digital transformation, agricultural value chains, export development, project management and stakeholder engagement. He is also recognized for delivering data-driven insights at board level and promoting accountability and operational excellence across organizations.
Mr. Rugemalira holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and is a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA). His professional experience includes leadership roles with Peace Corps Tanzania, TotalEnergies Tanzania and BYEMU Tropical Foods, where he has contributed significantly to ICT systems management, business support, and agribusiness entrepreneurship.
His extensive experience in technology leadership, governance oversight, agribusiness development and strategic planning enables him to provide strong independent judgment and valuable strategic guidance as a Non-Executive Director.
